Our industrialist Vedat GENÇTÜRK, who has contributed to the Turkish economy and industry throughout his life, started his working life with his father when he was 13 years old. Vedat GENÇTÜRK, who started his business life in Ankara with a small shop that produces and sells cologne and essence, was engaged in both trade and miscellaneous works between 1938-1950.
In the early 1950s, his company named GÜLTAŞ started the production of beauty preparations under the license of the French COTY Cosmetics company. Later; In parallel with Turkey’s change and development processes, the sector has changed.

Dutch origin “Oce Netherland BV” produced the first “Blueprint Paper” in Turkey with the license of its company. This production continued until 1986. For the first time in our country, it continued the production of photographic printing paper and x-ray film under the name of “Vedat Gençtürk Heliographique Paper Factory at its address in Istanbul, Tophane, Lüleci Hendek Caddesi”.

In 1963, it started the production trials and studies of self-adhesive paper and tapes for the first time in Turkey at the same address.

In 1965, it moved its facilities in Istanbul Tophane to the factory built on its new land in Istanbul Küçükçekmece Sefaköy. Since 1968, the production of solvent-based, self-adhesive products has also started with the change of needs and demands in all sectors.

At the beginning of 1971, label and flexo printing machines came into operation. Production of papers with physical reaction, which are self-copying under the title of “Ve-Ge” and registered trademark of “Self Copy” since 1973; Since 1978, Hotmelt and Water Based adhesives and silicone release techniques have been applied.

In 1981, the first chemical reaction and self-copying “Auto-Copy” papers were produced in Turkey. Then thermal and fax papers were produced.

Our Founder Osman Vedat GENÇTÜRK passed away on May 25, 1992. We remember him with respect and mercy.

Today, Mr. Ömer Nail GENÇTÜRK is the chairman of the board of directors.
