Work and construction machinery is frequently used in facilities where excavation, loading, transportation and crushing operations are carried out such as construction sites, quarries, mines. In our company, the attachments and special-purpose equipments of these machines are designed and manufactured.
The capacity calculations and strength calculations of the products we manufacture are made again for each product in line with the wishes of the customers, taking into account the point where the product will be used. Since the construction machines are used for multi-purpose, the number of attachments used is quite high. While the most used products in our company are mass-produced, completely work-specific products are designed and produced with the design and customer approval process for specifically requested products. It is extremely important to know the hardness and abrasiveness values of the materials that the attachment is in direct contact with in the operations where the construction equipment is used (excavation, excavation, construction, etc.) in terms of material selection and strength calculations of the attachment to be used.
Wear-resistant materials are used in the contact parts of the attachments working in very hard and abrasive materials. Depending on the degree of wear, the hardness values of the wear-resistant materials used differ from product to product. For example, in attachments used in extremely abrasive materials, the contact surfaces are covered with steel with a hardness of 500 Brinell, while steel with a hardness of 400 Brinell is used for partially lighter abrasive values. If the amount of wear is below the determined values, 520 steels with tensile strength are used on the contact surfaces.
